Our ultimate goal is to provide an enjoyable, exciting summer experience that motivates our campers to approach the future with courage, confidence and a feeling of self-worth.
We create a warm, family feeling at Woodmont in a number of ways. We encourage continuous skill development throughout the summer; stress personal development no matter what the inherent ability of a camper may be; and lastly, work to create an atmosphere of attention and care for the individual. Prior to the start of camp all bus routes are personally driven by our Transportation Director to ensure the safest, shortest and most efficient route possible.
Our drivers are thoroughly trained and are accompanied by hand-picked bus counselors. We follow guidelines and training practices that exceed those of the New York State Department of Transportation. Every one of our drivers is certified with a Commercial Driver’s License and each receives additional training at camp by a member of our own staff who is a driver-trainer.
